THE THEORY TEST The theory test is priced at £25. Candidates are required to answer 43 out of 50 questions correctly from the question bank, and must achieve at least 44 marks out of 75 in the hazard perception section to pass. Elements of theory training are systematically incorporated into each lesson, and we welcome inquiries regarding theoretical concepts.
THE PRACTICAL TEST The practical driving test costs £62 and may only be booked using the 9-digit number provided on the theory pass certificate. This assessment comprises 38 to 40 minutes of driving under diverse road and traffic conditions, includes 10 minutes of independent driving, and requires performance of a reverse manoeuvre. Candidates may also be asked to complete a controlled emergency stop. Additional information regarding independent driving can be found by viewing the DSA video clip at: www.youtube.com/dsagov.
On the day of your test, instruction begins one hour prior to your appointment, permitting adequate time to practice reverse manoeuvres and arrive at the test centre 10 minutes before the start time. You need your driving licence and successfully read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres. The DSA examiner will communicate your test results shortly after your return to the test centre. |
